Graduation certificate

Read the official rule

When you complete an approved training course at a Part 141 pilot school, the school must issue you a graduation certificate. This document serves as official proof that you've finished the course and met all its requirements.

The certificate must include specific information: the school's name and certificate number, your name, which course you completed, your graduation date, confirmation that you satisfactorily completed all required training stages and tests, the chief instructor's certification, and details about your cross-country training received during the course.

If you completed an internet-based course, your certificate must also include a unique alphanumeric code specific to you.

This graduation certificate is important because it demonstrates to the FAA and examiners that you've completed structured, approved training. While it doesn't replace the need for meeting FAA experience requirements or passing practical tests, it validates your formal training and may be required when applying for certain certificates or ratings.
