CA-TCAircraft registration

Apply for or manage the reservation of an aircraft registration mark

Read the official rule

Before flying in Canada, aircraft must be registered and display a visible registration mark. You can obtain a mark either by having one assigned during registration, reserving a system-generated mark, or choosing a special mark. Remember that reserving a mark does not mean your aircraft is registered yet.

Key points

  • Aircraft must be registered before flying in Canada.
  • You can reserve a mark, but it doesn't mean registration is complete.
  • Marks must be visible on the aircraft's exterior.
