Part-FCL — Flight Crew Licensing

Read the official rule

Part-FCL is the European (EASA) flight crew licensing regulation — the EASA equivalent of FAA Part 61. It defines the European licences (LAPL, PPL, CPL, ATPL), the ratings (instrument, class/type, instructor), and the theory, experience and skill-test requirements for each. Notably, EASA ATPL theory comprises a demanding set of written exams, which is the main hurdle for FAA pilots converting to an EASA licence. *Summary and link only — EASA regulation text is not reproduced here; consult EASA for the binding rules.*
