About Erding Air Base
Der Fliegerhorst Erding (ICAO-Code: ETSE) war ein Militärflugplatz der Luftwaffe nordöstlich von Erding im Raum München. Der Flugbetrieb wurde 2014 eingestellt. Der Fliegerhorst wurde Ende 2015 militärisch entwidmet und damit geschlossen. Seitdem wird das ehemalige Fluggelände vom Fliegerclub Erding über eine Außenlandegenehmigung genutzt. Heute ist dort das Instandsetzungszentrum 11 stationiert, das dem Waffensystemunterstützungszentrum 1 untersteht. Am Rande des Fliegerhorstgeländes betreibt die Firma IABG seit 2011 dynamische Tests von Airbus-A350-Bauteilen.
