Er ist für Segelflugzeuge, Motorsegler und Motorflugzeuge mit einem Höchstabfluggewicht von bis zu zwei Tonnen zugelassen. Der Platz wird von der Flugplatzgemeinschaft Lüsse betrieben. Die Gemeinschaft besteht aus dem Flugsportclub Charlottenburg e. V. und dem Märkischen Flugsportverein Lüsse e. V.
