Since its opening in 1998, XNA has become a vital transportation hub, reflecting the area's economic expansion and increasing travel demands. In early summer of 2025, XNA surpassed Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock as the busiest airport by passenger volume in Arkansas.
